Dropping odds are prices that got shorter over a period of time. A drop tells you the market changed its view. It does not tell you why.
Why prices move. New information (an injury, a rested lineup), betting activity, or a bookmaker simply re-pricing its market. A sharp bookmaker's move usually carries more weight than a soft bookmaker's.
An example. Pinnacle had the Away team at 3.10 an hour ago; now it is 2.80, a drop of about 10%. Two other bookmakers still offer 3.05. The useful question is not "should I follow the drop?" but "is 3.05 still above a fair price after the move?"
Watch out: a fast drop does not prove informed money. In a thin market a small amount can move a price, and some drops reverse. Check how much money is behind the market before reading too much into it.
On Pattern90. Odds trend puts the price before and the price now side by side. Choose the window (5 min, 15 min, 60 min or 3 hours), the bookmakers and the market, then set MIN MOVE for the smallest change to show. Blue marks a drop, pink a rise. Green prices at other bookmakers mean they have not followed yet. Betfair matched money shows how busy the market is. Turn on Sound alerts to hear new qualifying drops.
