How it works

Three tools, each answering one question. Here is what each one does, in plain words.

1Match Analysis

Is a price too high?

For every match we build our own fair price: we start from the Pinnacle price, take the bookmaker's margin out of it, and combine it with the recent form of both teams.

When a bookmaker pays clearly more than our fair price, the difference is the edge. A VALUE tip appears only when that edge is large enough to matter and the price is in a sensible range. Matches without enough form data get no tip — we would only be repeating the market back to you.

2Odds trend

Where is the market moving?

Shows where a price started and where it is now, so you can see which matches the market is changing its mind about — drops (price falling) and drifts (price rising).

Turnover is shown for Betfair only, because bookmakers do not publish theirs.

3Sharp Value

Who is slow to follow?

Pinnacle and the Betfair Exchange are the "sharp" markets — other bookmakers tend to follow them. When a sharp market drops its price, we show the move and, next to it, the soft bookmakers that have not followed yet, with how much value their price still has.

Words you will see

Fair price
The price a bet would have without the bookmaker's margin.
Edge
How much higher a bookmaker's price is than our fair price. A very large edge is worth a second look — check the team news in the match report first.
CLV (closing line value)
Compares the price of a tip with the price just before kick-off. Positive means the market later agreed with us. It is how we judge our tips over time.

Our approach

We aim for a positive return over the long run: betting prices that are higher than they should be, again and again. Single results go up and down, so judge us over many tips — and bet only what you can afford. 18+.
